The Met's delightful Baroque fantasy returns after its critically acclaimed world-premiere run in 2011, bringing together the music of Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau, Purcell, and other composers, set to a brilliant new English libretto inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream. This time, the all-star cast is led by Susan Graham as Sycorax, with David Daniels, Danielle de Niese, and the great Placido Domingo reprising their roles as Prospero, Ariel, and Neptune.
