Empire State Building

Empire State Building

350 5th Ave, New York, NY 10118

One of the most famous buildings in New York City is located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. Construction of the skyscraper began in 1930, and an amazing 102-storey building was completed in just 410 days. The Empire State Building is famous for its observatory deck. Once you’ve climbed up to the top of this skyscraper and seen the stunning views, you’ll know you are in the capital of the world. If you try to describe the feeling in one word, it would most likely be "incredible". Every night the building glows a different color - it can be pink, green, or a combination of several colors. For example, on the day of the New York Marathon, The Empire State Building’s colors were orange, white and blue, the colors of the official flag of NYC.

Prior to 1929, the Waldorf Astoria hotel, which is now on Park Avenue, was on the site of today’s Empire State Building.

Visiting the building can take up to several hours - the lines are quite long here sometimes. If you decide to go up, it makes sense to buy tickets online in advance. Then there is no need to wait in line at least for the tickets, this will save some time.
